Shahad-Temghar (STEM) Authority, Thane is independent water supply project of STEM Water Authority, having capacity of 310 Mld. STEM supply of Pure Water to three major cities through i.e. Thane Municipal Corporation, Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation, Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation and around villages covering the population more than 2.5 million. Broad outline of the Scheme :- The raw water is pumped with the help of seven vertical turbine pumps of 400 HP each (Combined pumping capacity 310 Mld) and then conveyed through 1870 mm dia M.S. pipeline upto WTP at Temghar. Dinesh Rathi &Associates (DRA) is Consultant to STEM for Water & Energy Audit of 285 Mld Scheme of Shahad-Temghar Water Works preparation of Detailed Project Report, Modifications & Implementation Plan etc.
